At Beechwood, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. We care for others in our community by working together to make a positive difference in our community. From local charity events and environmental projects to partnerships with neighborhood organisations, we are proud to help our children grow into caring, responsible citizens who make the world around them a better place.
Our Charity Officers have delivered the Harvest Festival donations to the local foodbank.Â
Remembrance Sunday
On Sunday 9th November (Remembrance Sunday) .we were invited to represent our school at Runcorn’s memorial service.
It started off when we met up near the Cenotaph and we saw military people carrying flags: one for land, military sea and air. More military people came up from the church marching and they lined up. Then we saw some scouts, other schools, clubs who all came to pay there respects to all the people that fought for our country.
We listened to different people speak and pay their respects as they laid wreaths. Eventually, our school was called up and we laid a wreath representing our school. We sang hymns and listened to someone play ‘The Last Post’.
It was a really special experience and we felt so proud for paying our respects.
