Year 2 Residential

15th March 2024

On the 14th of March, year 2 embarked on their first residential to Foxhowl in Delamere. Our trip was full of adventures, we went on a walk through the forest looking for signs of wildlife and spotting different habitats. Afterwards we learnt bushcraft skills with our instructor, Stella, including building a shelter and tying different knots.  In the evening Mrs Woodcock made a campfire for us and we sang songs and ate smores. On the Friday, we went pond dipping and stream dipping. We used a key to identify different creatures who live in the water. We managed to catch a newt and a fish! Our residential was full of new experiences including packing our own bags and spending an night from home but it was definitely a lot of fun!
